The CFC series of 100Mbps fibre to fibre converters allow users to incrementally extend their fibre optic network transmission range. By providing interconnection between standard multi mode and longer ranged single mode fibre types, the CFC range allows users to economically tailor each fibre segment to their exact needs. Now, the range and connection limitations of multi mode fibre are easily overcome.

The CFC range provides clean reliable conversion between multi mode and single mode fibre and between 1300nm and 820nm type connections. A choice of ST and SC connectors allows connection to existing fibre optic equipment. Not limited to Ethernet, each CFC may be used to transparently link stations using alternate protocols. Pairs of ATM devices, FDDI pairs or Token ring pairs may be linked at up to OC-3 speeds.
