The single-fibre media converters allow two independent data channels to be transmitted over a single core of fiber optic cabling. Each converter transmits and receives data bi-directionally using two different wavelengths over one singlemode fiber.

Each converter has a traditional duplex multimode fibre port (100BaseFX) and a one single fibre port. To create a link one CFC-xxxxA must be paired with a CFC-xxxxB.

These converters are ideal where the number of fibres is at a premium. Valuable fibre can be saved and utilised for other applications in your network.
