The Gigabit Fibre to Fibre cards are designed to fit the CN-2000 and the CN-0400 converter chassis. When the chassis is equipped with the SNMP card all the converters can be managed via SNMP or by a web browser and XML.
The gigabit converter cards enable the user to benefit from the increased bandwidth of gigabit Ethernet while overcoming the distance limitations associated with 1000Mbps data speeds. The converter cards allow existing fibre optic segments to function as gigabit backbones thus preserving the investment in your legacy cabling without the need for a costly upgrade.
