The ET-100 is a high performance remote 10/100 Ethernet bridge. The ET-100 may be implemented on any Ethernet network allowing LAN traffic to be bridged rather than routed across a WAN link.

Connections are made using an RJ-45 connector for the 10BaseT LAN. By means of switch settings on the bridge and an appropriate converter cable, the bridge can be configured to connect to various WAN interfaces such as X.21, V.35, RS449, RS530 and RS232. This allows the bridge to be connected straight into a digital leased line giving access to the WAN.

The unit features an in built clock generator that allows timing in both 64K and 56K increments up to E1 (2048Kbps) and T1 (1544Kbps) speeds. This clocking flexibility allows the unit to either provide clocking or to accept it.
