The FIB-10/100 range are compact Ethernet media converters for converting UTP to optical signals. The UTP side of the converter is auto negotiating for either 10 or 100Mbps Ethernets. The fibre port is always 100Mbps and can be presented with an ST or an SC connector. Both multi and single mode fibre ports are available and distances of up to 120Km can be achieved. A range of converters are also available with the latest WDM technology that utilises only a single core of fibre for full duplex bi-directional communication

Each FIB-10/100 converter has the ability to auto negotiate full or half duplex. Alteratively it is possible to hard set the duplex mode by means of a switch setting. The FIB-10/100 units each have two RJ-45 ports, one is wired straight through and the other is crossed eliminating the need for cross-over cables.
