The FMUX-01 is a highly flexible compact fibre optic multiplexer. 1U high, fully modular with the ability to multiplex up to 16 2Mbps circuits over fibre. The FMUX-01 offers users a system that they can tailor and expand to meet the future demands of their network.

From the rear of the chassis, one to four quad E1, T1, datacom (V.35, X.21, RS-530), or Ethernet Bridge cards are supported. All line cards provide completely transparent transmission of E1, T1, datacom, or Ethernet regardless of frame mode or timeslot assignment.

The FMUX-01 can be fitted with a wide array of fibre optic transport modules, from short range 2Km multimode to long range 120Km singlemode. Each fibre module is available with 1+1 protection to ensure high availability of service. The FMUX-01 can also be equipped with WDM (wave division multiplexing) modules for transmission across a single core of fibre.
