The FRM301 is a 16 channel media converter chassis. 3U high and 19" rackmountable the FRM301 supports a variety of converter cards including Ethernet to fibre converters operating at all enterprise Ethernet speeds (10, 100 & Gigabit) and all fibre formats (multi & singlemode) with distances up to 120Km. Also available are fibre converter cards for G.703, X.21, RS530, RS449, V.35 & RS422 making the FRM301 a truly universal platform for all your converter requirements.
The FRM301 supports optional redundant power and SNMP management. Another unique feature of the FRM301 is line cards which make use of a common PCB card which may either be placed in the rack (FRM301 Series line card) or used as a standalone converter (FIB1 Series). Manufacturing costs are reduced as well as the inventory of spares required by distributors, installers, and end users.
