The G703-E1 is a single port access unit for clear channel 2.048Mbps E1 operation.

The G703-FE1 is a single port access unit for fractional E1 access. Data rates may be set for any multiple of 64Kbps to 2048kbps using DIP switches on the unit.

The G703-FE1-A is an access unit for fractional cascade E1 access. When two of the units are used side by side the RX port of one unit can be connected to the TX port of another and the two units together become an E1 multiplexer.
