The G.703 FTEC is a fractional E1/T1 converter enabling conversion between E1 and T1 transmission speeds. Conversion can take place in unframed mode at the transmission rate (up to 1.544Mbps), or at the timeslot level, with each discreet T1 timeslot mapped to an E1 timeslot, up to a maximum of 24.

Flexible timing enables the user to choose between internal or external (1.544 Mbps or 2048Mbps), or recovered timing. Diagnostic LED’s together with a number of loopback facilities aid in line debugging, while Alarm LED’s give an immediate indication of line fault. The units are housed in a durable case that can be desk/shelf mounted, or placed within a cabinet.
