The EXLAN (EXchange Line ANalog) units are exchange interface units. 12 subscriber connections are available on each unit.
The unit simulates the functions of the telephone sets, detects the corresponding exchange signals and transmits these to the SUBUK card on the subscriber side.
The EXLAN supports the following features:-
Tone and pulse dialing
Earth key function
Metering function (12KHz and 16KHz)
Flash impulse
Polarity reversal
Indication of busy lines
Wide range of country specific parameters to ensure interworking with different exchange requirements
In addition to the above the following parameters may be set on each of the individual 12 channels:-
Input voice level
Output voice level
Metering pulse enable/disable
Signalling bit definition
Loop back of voice to telephone
