Network Management Platform
The Network Management Platform (NMP) is a universal tool, which allows for monitoring and configuring all MICROSENS network devices. The software provides an easy to use graphical interface and several intelligent functions which supports the administrators. The network management tool operates with the aid of lists of devices that permit network components to be grouped together on the basis of a tree diagram. Depending on the organisation structure it is possible that one device can belong to one or several groups. Therefore settings can be made globally and be assigned to multiple devices simultaneously. When ring topology is used the groups are automatically generated using the rings while global settings are simultaneously assigned. In the Professional version the NMP has an integrated Topology Manager which enables the rings to be managed in a clear manner. In addition to general operating parameters, targeted monitoring of ring ports and their connections is possible. In the server version the NMP is operating on a central server that provides access from the client via a Web interface. Up to 30 parallel access requests can be managed. When the requirements are increased the NMP server is operating redundantly in a network.
