Liberator S ISDN Converter, Splitter, Switch & Concentrator

Liberator S

The Liberator S ISDN Converter, ISDN Splitter, Switch, and Concentrator supports up to 4 E1/T1/PRI interfaces and 0, 4, 8, 12, or 16 BRI ‘S’ interfaces. As standard Liberator ‘S’ can be user configured with either all E1 or all T1 PRI interfaces. Purchasing the optional E1/T1 conversion pack means both E1 and T1 can be supported on the same unit. BRI NT and TE ports can optionally be fitted with Power Failure Relay Protection. BRIs can be set for ETSI (Euro-ISDN) or ANSI (US-ISDN) on a per-port basis and can perform ANSI to ETSI conversion. The unit will connect any port to any port and any ‘B’ channel to any ‘B’ channel without constraint giving full cross-connectivity between all ports, both local and network channels. The intuitive DbLite GUI (supplied) enables fast and simple configuration. All options can be set to tailor the use, connectivity, least cost routing and other advanced features to match the requirements. The flexibility and modularity of the Liberator means it can be put to many varied uses.

Liberator S BRENT Converter

BRENT Converter

The BRENT Converter is based on the Liberator “S” platform and all features on the Liberator “S” are available on the BRENT Converter. The BRENT Converter is a powerful and useful tool for many situations. It is designed to simplify BRENT installations and to provide a more cost effective, reliable and manageable solution for applications where multiple BRENTs are required (for videoconferencing, for example). It also enables BRENTs to use more reliable PRI services, which may also be delivered over fibre to improve security. To ensure more reliable BRENT operation with ISDN in other countries, including the USA, SPIDs etc are handled and there are a number of configuration options to help the BRENTs to function under different conditions and on a huge variety of networks. BRENT can be troublesome and difficult to interoperate with non-UK ISDN services but the Brent Converter assists in overcoming these issues. It also has many flexible features, such as Number Manipulation, which often come in useful in the more unusual applications often associated with BRENTs.

Liberator Q (Quad-Port) ISDN T1/E1 PRI Mux, Sharer, Switch or Concentrator

Liberator Q

The Liberator “Q” (Quad-Port) is a non-blocking 4-port T1/E1 PRI ISDN cross-connect switch with advanced routing and conversion options. Using flexible Routing Profiles, individual “B” channels or timeslots can be switched to any PRI within the unit. Call routing decisions can be performed on DDI/DID (dialled number), CLI, sub-address, call type (voice, data etc), originating port - or any combination. Timeslots within a single PRI or across multiple PRIs can be grouped in any combination to provide Hunt Groups. If destinations are Unavailable, Busy or not answered Secondary and Tertiary Routing Profiles can be used, making the Liberator “Q” ideal for hot-standby and resiliency applications. Calls can be routed to alternate destinations, numbers or PRI ports or channels. Contention or over-booking is supported if required. Liberator “Q” optionally provides a great deal of flexibility for number manipulation. Different combinations of numbers can be selected, for example the leading digits, those in the middle or at the end of a number range, and these can be modified in many ways; replacing digits, exchanging them or adding extra ones as needed. This can be used for least-cost routing, call re-direction, hiding the destination number, resilience purposes, part of a PABX migration to different numbering plans and many other applications. Number barring is also provided. The PRI ports themselves can be connected to the network or to  local devices and support either ETSI E1 PRI or ANSI T1 PRI.

Liberator C E1/T1 ISDN Converter

Liberator C

Liberator “C” is a T1 to E1 PRI (Primary Rate) ISDN converter with advanced routing and conversion options. Using flexible Routing Profiles, individual “B” channels or timeslots can be switched to any PRI within the unit or simply passed between the E1 and T1 on corresponding timeslots. Calls can be accepted/rejected and routed based on DDI/DID (dialled number), CLI, sub-address, call type (voice, data etc), originating port – or any combination. Liberator “C” optionally provides a great deal of flexibility for number manipulation.

Liberator E - ISDN Converter, ISDN Splitter, Switch, and Concentrator

Liberator E

The Liberator E high reliability ISDN Converter, ISDN Splitter, Switch, and Concentrator supports 8, 16, 24 or 32 PRI/E1/T1 interfaces and Dual load-sharing PSUs. Ability to inter-link Liberator ‘E’ units to support additional PRI ports in a virtual non-blocking single switch. The Liberator models can support up to 32 E1/T1/PRI interfaces via two card types, either 8-port or 16-port cards. The PRI ports on the 8-port card can be user-switched between NT and TE and have Telecoms Approvals for direct connection to the ISDN network. The PRI ports on the 16-port cards are NT only. When mixing an 8-port and a 16-port card the 8-port is always in the lower position. Purchasing the optional E1 T1 conversion pack means both E1 and T1 can be supported on the same unit and this can be selected on a per-port basis. The unit will connect any port to any port and any ‘B’ channel to any ‘B’ channel without constraint, giving full cross-connectivity between all ports, both local and network channels.

ISDN Bri Fibre Optic Modem

ISDN Bri Fibre Optic Modem

The FRM2-BRI/ST2 is an ISDN over fibre modem that enables basic rate ISDN interfaces to be extended over multimode fibre optic cabling. The units are ideal for sensitive data applications that require the use of fibre and have been designed to transport a single ISDN Bri interface over multimode fibre optic cabling. The unit is completely transparent to all ISDN protocols and is simply 'inserted' between the ISDN line and end terminal equipment.

Central Site I-Mux

Central Site I-Mux

Central Site I-Mux

The DataBand CSI and ISU range connect high speed serial data devices together using multiple ISDN calls, in effect dialling a high-speed “leased line” between non-ISDN devices. It is ideal for use with videoconference units, MCUs, encryptors (such as KIVs) or any high-speed serial device that needs bandwidth on demand. It aggregates or inverse multiplexes multiple ISDN channels from multiple ISDN PRI interfaces into N*64kbps V.35, RS530, X.21/V.11 and E1 ports. A single CSI (Central Site I-Mux) supports from 1 to 8 ISDN PRIs for network access, and from 8 to 16 serial data ports with data rates of up to 1.024Mbps per port. CSIs can be linked together to form larger systems. Easy to manage and configure, the CSI is an ideal central-site solution for:

  • New Inverse multiplexing and Terminal Adaptor applications
  • Replacement of existing unsupportable legacy platforms
  • Migrate and free-up multiple single port I-Muxes/aggregators at central sites and redeploy them at remote sites
