10/100 Converter - USB Powered

The FCR200-ST is a Fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Fibre Optic Media Converter. The Converter comes with a standard mains plug pack, but can also be directly powered from a PC or Notebook via a PS2 keyboard adapter or a spare USB slot. For centralised media conversion a hot-swappable, 10 slot, 19 inch rackmount chassis can be used to provide a single power source for multiple converters. The Rack chassis solution provides various power options from Dual redundant to single power supplies in either Mains AC voltages or Telco 48V DC options. The FCR200 uses a 2 port Switching Chipset to convert from Ethernet and Fast Ethernet copper segments in both full and half duplex modes, to 100Mbps Fibre connections once again in full or half duplex. In full-duplex mode on standard Multimode fibre, transmission of up to 2 Km is possible. In Full-duplex mode on FCR200SC, using Single Mode fibre, transmission of up to 20/40/60/80/100Km is possible.

With SNMP and Web-based management in the FRM220 or FRM220A chassis, the network administrator can monitor, configure and control the activity of each FRM220A-FSW103 switch card locally via the SNMP manager. this switch can be completely controlled and monitored from a centrally located managed rack controlling all switch settings including duplex and speed configuration. The FRM220-10/100iS-2 can be operated in an unmanaged environment. However when used in conjunction with the NMC management card the FRM220-10/100iS-2 can be configured and monitored via HTTP or SNMP. What's more even a remote FRM220-10/100i(S), at the other end of the fibre link from the NMC card, can be managed via an in-band embedded communications channel.

The FRM220-100M is an IEEE802.3ah OAM compliant copper to fibre Fast Ethernet solution designed to make conversion between 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX with SC, FC, ST connector. When deployed as a stand-alone solution, this media converter incorporates an easy to use Web user interface for operation, administration and maintenance of both local and remotely connected FRM220-100M converters. By offering 802.3ah OAM compliance, this converter can be linked to any 802.3ah compliant fibre switch and support loop back and dying gasp functions. When placed in our centrally controlled and managed rack, all functions of this converter and the remotely connected converter can be configured and monitored via in-band management, including band-width control, duplex, speed, VLAN configuration and more.

Uni-Directional Data Security Diodes provide additional data loss protection in the event that malware or hidden executables escape detection and penetrate commonly used network defenses. Our Uni-Directional Data Security Diodes forward information originating from an un-secured open source to a restricted High-Security destination. They simultaneously partition the data path to stop all return-path transmissions and completely block the reverse transmission of sensitive information. You can also position our Uni-Directional Data Security Diodes to selectively forward authorized data originating from a secured, trusted source to weakly protected, insecure destinations. It also blocks the return path to shield the secure source from hidden viruses, Trojans, malicious instructions or other intrusion attempts. This prevents the exposure of critical data, its non-availability and its possible loss or corruption.

Uni-Directional Fast Ethernet Media Converters

The CFT-206XD and CFT-206XDR Uni-Directional, Fast Ethernet Media Converters are designed for one-way data transmission across a single fibre strand. Standard duplex SC and ST Fibre connectors are utilized with their Full-Duplex function disabled. Optimized for environments where two-way communications is undesirable, the Uni-Directional, Converters implement factory changes that are irreversible after configuration. No on-board external/internal switches or jumpers are usable to restore bi-directional operation either before or after installation. Simply changing Fibre optic connectors will not re-enable bi-directional operation. The Fast Ethernet RJ-45 port is Switch-Selectable to allow a choice of Forced Full-Duplex or Auto-negotiated twisted-pair connections with other network devices. Even if Full-Duplex links are established at the UTP interface, they never actually transport full-duplex traffic. The converters also support multi-channel, parallel transmission over a single fibre strand by using CWDM techniques. Each channel is transported via its own dedicated wavelength. Making optimal use of state-of-the-art integrated circuits and surface-mount technology, they offer exceptionally reliable, tamper-resistant, low-cost single-purpose converters.
