Overview
The Q40-CSR4-LC1 is a 40Gb/s optical transceiver module for multimode fibre. It offers 4 independent transmit and receive channels, each capable of 10Gbps operation for an aggregate bandwidth of 40Gbps.
A 12 way MPO/MTP fibre cable plugs into the QSFP+ module. The orientation of the cable is “keyed” and guide pins inside the module’s receptacle ensure proper alignment. The cable usually has no twist (key up to key up) to ensure proper alignment when directly connecting two QSFPs.
The high performance 850nm VCSEL transmitter and high sensitivity PIN receiver provide superior performance for high performance Ethernet applications at up to 400m. The QSFP+ Module is compliant with SFF-8431, SFF-8432 and IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4. Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472.
