Overview

The FRM220-OAB21 is a single channel optical amplifier/booster module that provides multi-function, low noise, Erbium-Doped Fibre Amplifier (EDFA) solutions for metro Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing(DWDM) applications. The FRM220-OAB21 operates at the transmission side of the link. It features high input power, high output power, and medium optical gain and is designed to amplify aggregated optical input power for reach extension.The FRM220-OAB21 provides Automatic Gain Control (AGC) via rack management or RS-232 console interface. Its fast-transient suppression feature allows the output power to be kept at a constant level when there are fast changes in input power.
