Industrial Contact Closure Fibre Converter

IFC-CCF40A models are 4-channel contact closure fibre converters that can provide transmission of contact closure via fibre optic link.  Each channel has independent transmit and receive paths. With an SFP socket, the IFC-CCF40A provides SFP-LC connector that enables multi-mode, single-mode or bi-directional transmission using only a single fibre cable.

The contact closure module has four relay inputs and outputs. Outputs are normally open relays. The relay output follows the relay inputs at the remote end. When the remote relay input is shorted, the local relay output is closed. The front panel provides LED indicators that offer real-time information of input and output status.

These devices detect the open/closed state of a contact and reproduce it using a relay at the remote end of the fibre link where the relay output follows the “relay input” from the local end.  They are typically used in applications such as access control system, alarm event triggering, building automation, security barriers status indications and environmental control systems, fire & alarm systems, traffic signal control equipment etc.

These units may be used in pairs, or in conjunction with rack mounted FRM220-CCF cards.  When they are connected to a managed rack, link and contact status may be accessed via SNMP or a web browser.
