Overview

These models are 6 port unmanaged industrial grade Gigabit PoE switches with 4x 10/100/1000Base-T PoE ports that provide reliable Ethernet transmission. Housed in rugged DIN rail or wall mountable enclosures, these switches are designed for harsh environments, such as industrial networking, security automation applications, IP Surveillance, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and are also suitable for many military and utility market applications where environmental conditions exceed commercial product specifications (See figure 1). Standard operating temperature range models (-10 to 60°C) and wide operating temperature range models (-40 to 75°C) fulfill the special needs of industrial automation applications. 

Power Boost

Power Boost technology means that these units do not require special PSU's to deliver 50V regulated power to PD's (Powered Devices).  They have high effiency inverters which means they can be powered from standard 24 or 48V DC supplies.

PoE - Power over Ethernet Primer

What is Power over Ethernet ?

Power over Ethernet, commonly abbreviated to PoE, is a technology that enables DC power to be delivered over the same twisted pair copper cabling as the data. This allows end devices such as IP phones, CCTV cameras and wireless access points to receive power across the network and avoids the need to install electrical cabling and a power source at the remote end.
