Multi wavelength laser source

The ST815 is a general purpose Laser Source that provides a stable laser signal over four discrete wavelengths; 850, 1330, 1310 and 1550nm. Suitable for both multimode and singlemode fibres, it aids testing of a fibre network by providing an input light source that can be analysed with a suitable power meter (such as the STD800A). Power measurements can be readily taken and optical lossess quickly evaluated to ascertain the quality of the fibre under scrutiny. The ST815 features a large LCD display with backlight and its intuitive interface allows the operator to easily inject the wavelength required. The high stability of output power makes the ST815 the ideal instrument for optical network installation, troubleshooting and maintenance. It can be utilised on LAN, WAN & CATV networks. When used in conjunction with the STD800A Optical Power Meter it can measure optical loss and help evaluate fibre performance.
