800G transponder in 1U, for high capacity applications
PA-PL-2000T
A Demarcation device that interconnects 200G Metro networks with long haul 100G circuits. Supports 4 x 200G (OTUC2) and 8 x 100G (OTU4) optical links.
- Integrated EDFA, mux/demux and optical switch in 1U
- High transport capacity of 800G
- Embedded Layer-1 optical encryption
- Managed service platform
- Modular and cost-effective for future growth
- Pay-as-you-grow architecture
Overview
The PL-2000T is a modular and cost-effective solution for rolling out 100G services or increasing existing network capacity. The device has four 200G pluggable optical modules, delivering up to 800G in a 1U chassis, and enabling pay-as-you-grow architecture.
It provides a full demarcation point between the service and the uplink DWDM side and is interoperable with any third party switch or router. This provides full visibility and performance monitoring of both line optical transport layer (OTN) and 100G LAN/OTU4 service interfaces.
Encryption
Embedded Layer-1 encryption based on GCM-AES-256 standards and Diffie-Hellman (DH) Key Exchange provide secure transport per service or per 100G uplink. Encryption over 100G supports the following services: 10/40/100Gb Ethernet, 8G/16G/32G Fibre Channel, OTU2/2e/OTU3/OTU4, OC-192/STM-64.
Benefits of PacketLight’s Layer-1 Encryption Solution
- Encryption of all the data transmitted over the fiber, with no omissions
- Transparent, maintains full bandwidth of the traffic
- Beneficial for low latency applications
- Covering the physical fiber tapping detection
- Interface with existing DWDM infrastructure and Telco OTN networks
- No need to change or upgrade Layer-2/3 switch/routers
PacketLight LightWatchTM NMS.
PacketLight LightWatchTM multi-platform Java-based network management system (NMS) is an essential tool for effectively managing, configuring, and monitoring fiber optic networks.
PacketLight’s NMS provides comprehensive visibility and control over network infrastructure, enabling administrators to ensure optimal network performance, security, and reliability. The NMS enables administrators to monitor the equipment on the network, track traffic, detect and resolve issues, and configure network devices remotely.
The system collects and analyzes network data, and generates valuable insights and reports that are central in decision-making and troubleshooting. By centralizing network management tasks and automating routine processes, the NMS streamlines operations, enhances efficiency, and reduces downtime. It serves as a critical component in maintaining a robust and resilient network infrastructure in today's mission-critical landscape.
