Single Wavelength 400Gbps

The increasing demand for bandwidth driven by video streaming, growing data volumes, the backbone of 5G networks, remote work, and evolving business needs necessitates the deployment of high-capacity fiber optic networks or the enhancement of existing infrastructure, making 400G wavelength technology crucial.

The PL-4000 range offer a high-capacity transport system accommodating ZR, OpenZR+, and OpenROADM 400G pluggable modules. They can incorporate an integrated EDFA, multiplexer/demultiplexer, and optical switch all within a single 1U enclosure.

The PL-4000 are designed to support a wide range of advanced 400G line optics, including high-performance CFP2-DCO, QSFP-OpenZR+, and QSFP-ZR. They also cater to various FEC modes such as C-FEC as specified by the OIF, O-FEC established in the OpenROADM standard, and SD-FEC tailored for high-performance demanding links. Additionally, the CFP2 pluggable module utilized in these devices offers ultra-long-haul connectivity found in PacketLight's 200G product line.

PL-4000 features OTN muxponders and transponders, specifically engineered for comprehensive visibility and oversight of the optical transport layer. They accommodate a diverse range of service interfaces, including 10/25/100/400Gb Ethernet, 16/32G Fibre Channel, and OTU2/OTU4, all transmitted over a single 400G wavelength.

These versatile and modular 1U devices can operate in both muxponder and transponder modes and are scalable to support up to 64 channels. They offer a total throughput of up to 1.6Tbps, making them a robust, scalable solution that operate with redundancy and minimal latency. This setup enhances performance while occupying less physical space and reduces the cost per bit, effectively maximizing the link budget.

These solutions ensure secure transport for each service or uplink, featuring integrated Layer-1 encryption that complies with GCM-AES-256 standards. They also incorporate Diffie-Hellman (DH) Key Exchange and are equipped with various protection mechanisms to guard against fiber cuts or equipment failures.

To effectively address the growing demand for bandwidth, the expansion of fiber optic network capacity needs to be swift. PacketLight's 400G DWDM/OTN solutions enhance the network capacity per wavelength, promoting better spectral efficiency and lowering the cost per bit for DCI, metro, and long-haul applications. By utilizing pluggable modules, capacity can be easily expanded, leading to significantly reduced power consumption, easier maintenance and support, as well as a genuine pay-as-you-grow model.

PacketLight's 400G integrated solutions feature mux/demux, amplifiers, and an optical switch within a low-power 1U footprint, making the transition to 400G networks straightforward while ensuring optimal performance.
